Wishing you all a big, warm welcome!

Hello and welcome to my new website and blog. Wow, I can’t believe that I’m typing this, it’s something that I’ve wanted to do for so long and thanks to a massive amount of help from a truly treasured friend, it’s here.

I finally get to show the world my work and also give you all an insight into my journey as a freelance makeup artist. I’ll be blogging about products, the things I do on a daily basis, the ups....the downs and everything else in between. One thing I can promise is that everything I do write, will be my honest opinion and very ‘me’. In life I wear my heart on my sleeve and on here I will be doing the same. Everybody who knows me says that I am an open book, and so I thought it would be fun to open that book up to a wider audience

My Website is here to help put a face to a name. I always think that when people contact me in regards to makeup, they have no idea what I’m like, or what I’m about. They just see a name and some pictures of my work and to be honest, I would find that quite daunting. I want people to be able to feel like they know me a little, before getting in touch. It might not work in my favour and some may go running for the hills, but I’m willing to take the chance.

The reason for the blog is one very close to my heart. When I finally realised that I wanted to be a makeup artist, naturally the first thing I did was google it -

‘ How to become a makeup artist’.

Obviously there were hundreds and hundreds of answers and all of them were completely useless.  They either weren’t detailed enough, or they were too akin to fairy tales. I wanted to see a ‘normal’ persons journey, from the ground up, but there just wasn’t anything like that out there. So just in case anybody else like me ever googles that exact same sentence, I want this blog to be here to help you out. I want you to see the triumphs and the struggles, basically I want it to be real. I don’t have any long term goals, or short term goals come to that and I have no real idea of where I want to end up in the makeup industry, but that’s all part of the excitement I guess!

And anyway, one of the best women I have ever met once told me something very true –

How can you possibly know where you want to be or what you want to do, if you’ve never been there or done it. There is no shame in not knowing.
